Here is what you can expect in a daily post at seven in seven.
An invitation to bring God's light into your presence. This can mean lighting a candle, taking a moment to clear your mind, or just envisioning a bright, golden aura descending upon you (one of Richard Foster's techniques in the great Celebration of Discipline).
The psalm for the day.
The first reading as prescribed by the Revised Common Lectionary Daily Readings. (In the season after Pentecost, we will follow the complementary readings.)
An invitation to silence. (Which is good for all the intelligences.)
The second reading, again from the daily lections.
An invitation to more silence.
A collect: a specially structured kind of prayer suitable to the day.
A daily activity focused on the multiple intelligences.
Sunday) Linguistic: writing, journaling, generating language.
Monday) Musical: singing, making music, listening to music.
Tuesday) Kinesthetic: walking, playing, using the body.
Wednesday) Interpersonal: find a discussion partner for questions.
Thursday) Intrapersonal: pray, meditate, focus on thoughts that bubble up.
Friday) Logical: chew on a philosophical or theological excerpt.
Saturday) Spatial: sculpt, paint, work puzzles, generate expression through the hands.
*All scripture readings will come from the New Revised Standard Version or from my own translation.*
